Rate Structure & Fee Schedule

In accordance with Washington State law (WAC 308-30-220), total service fees consist of a statutory per-signature state fee plus an agreed-upon mobile travel fee.

ZONE 1 TRAVEL BASE: $25 FLAT

 Coverage: Blaine (Blaine Harbor / Semiahmoo Marina) / Ferndale (Sandy Point Marina) 

 Details: Prepaid & Non-Refundable. Reserves dispatch and covers travel directly to your marina dock, slip, boatyard, or private property.

 

ZONE 2 TRAVEL BASE: $35 FLAT

 Coverage: Bellingham (Squalicum Harbor, Bellingham Bay, Fairhaven, Lummi Bay Marina)

Details: Prepaid & Non-Refundable. Extended travel coverage for Bellingham harbors, shipyards, marine repair facilities, and private docks.

 WASHINGTON STATE NOTARIAL ACT: $15 PER SIGNATURE

 Details: Statutory stamp fee per notarized signature. Collected on-site prior to notarization.

 

MOBILE SCAN-BACK (OPTIONAL): $15 FLAT

Details: Instant high-resolution smartphone scan and email delivery of executed documents directly emailed vessel PDFs and instant digital scan-backs to lenders, marine brokers, or USCG documentation agents.

Mobile Service & Dispatch Policy

To ensure smooth, legally compliant transactions at marinas, boatyards, private docks, and marine terminals, all appointments operate under the following policies:

 

Booking & Travel Fee Policy

​

Prepaid Dispatch: All mobile travel fees are agreed upon in advance and collected at the time of booking to reserve the notary's drive time and dispatch availability.

​

Non-Refundable Travel: Travel fees cover the time, fuel, and reservation of the notary's schedule. They are non-refundable once the appointment is confirmed and the notary dispatches.

 

Safety & Mobile Workstation Guidelines

​

Mobile Hatch Workstation: To protect sensitive closing documents from salt spray, rain, and wind, all mobile notary acts take place using our Mobile Hatch Workstation—a covered standing-height signing desk setup at the rear of our vehicle near the marina gate/parking lot—or inside a marina office/clubhouse.

 

Notary does not board vessels on the water or walk active haul-out yard tracks without prior safety coordination.

Location: Clients at large harbor facilities must provide the marina name, slip/gate number, boat name, or a location via text upon booking.

On-Site Intake & Payment Order

 

To maintain complete statutory compliance and operational efficiency, the following steps occur prior to proceeding with the notarization:

​

Verification of Physical Identity: The signer presents a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID (Driver's License, Permanent Resident Card / Green Card, Passport, or Military ID). Per state law, physical ID cards are strictly required—digital photos or photocopies cannot be accepted.

 

Collection of Statutory Fees: The $15 per-signature state notary fee (plus any optional printing/scan-back fees) is collected before signatures are witnessed and official seals are applied.

Document Completeness & Included Wait Time

​

Document Completeness: Documents must be fully completed prior to arrival, with no blank spaces or missing pages (except for the signature and notary block, which must be executed in the presence of the notary). Notaries are legally prohibited from drafting, filling out, or providing legal advice regarding the contents of your documents.

​

Included Wait Time: Every dispatch includes 15 minutes of complimentary wait time upon arrival. Extended waiting time due to broker delays, vessel docking, or unready paperwork will be billed at $15 per additional 15-minute increment.

​

Incomplete & Unsuccessful Signings

 

Non-Notarization Events: If a notarization cannot be completed due to an unacceptable/expired ID, incomplete documents, or a refusal to sign, the $15 statutory signature fee is not charged or is refunded. However, the prepaid travel fee remains non-refundable.

On-Site Statutory Fees: Credit/Debit Cards, or Cash collected prior to signing.

 

Digital invoices and instant receipts can be emailed directly to yacht brokers, lenders, or escrow officers.
